Great Article.

I'm now going to do it.....drop the 25lbs I need to. Especially after reading this article and the "Big Losers" thread yesterday Big losers

Great article Jonas! It takes guts to make a challenge to yourself in public like that, because now there's that much more pressure to live up to your goals. I think Dan John calls it the "Alpo Effect", where you buy a can of Alpo dog food and tell all your friends that if you don't achieve a certain goal in a certain amount of time, you'll eat that can of dogfood.

I can sympathize with you about your ankles. I also broke my ankle last winter, and recently tore a ligament in my other ankle. Instead of gaining weight, however, I lost 20 lbs. But it was 20 lbs of muscle. Thus is the saga of an ectomorph.

But I can't make excuses any more either. I've got to get that muscle back.
