Default Second Olympic Testing Day

Wed

Front Squat 100k/2

Also on Thurs I had a real good workout

Put up a new Record on Snatch 60k (Caught it with my knees barely bent) More to come when my timing improves

Worked up to Snatch Grip PJ 90k/2 easily (wouldn't bring it onto my back though) So i had to take some weight off PC and again

SnRDL worked up to 3x3/120k

nice! i snatched 55 kilos today, barley bendt knees. almost failed it, so my catch was a bit off. I have to work on the timing aswell, i think im gonna take some time with light weights and practice catching as low as i can.
keep up the good work dude!

Thanks. Your right next to me in technique lifts. I'm sure you will be snatching 70 out of the hole in no time
If you go lighter on the catches. Don't forget to keep your Snatchpulls up near your max so you keep good pulling power.

I cannot do a snatch grip jerk from the front, that hurts like hell. I do all of those of from the back.

Yea it's a pain but I went like 50,60,70,80 All brought onto back. Then my coach was told me to put 90 on. Because basically I didnt even have dip for 80. And going past 80 I have some problems recieving the bar like I've had it slip off. How much have you brought down on your back SnPJ?

I usually start it off the rack and then step away from it. Since a lot of times I lift in a commercial gym I lift with metal plates so I have to get used to lowering heavy loads on my back and front, so with oly gear its not an issue. Ive done 125kg for a double in a SnPJ from behind. I couldnt imagine doing that after doing a CJ with it.

Do you lift for a club?

I like your quote about the chinese girl.

On a sidenote my coach is always talking about the chinese guy who squat jerks like 180k

I love Dave. He helped me so much with my form and is an all around cool guy. I would totally let him take the reigns in coaching me if I could work with him on a regular basis. Hopefully Ill be able to head up to Moorestown for a weekend with a friend of mine after he finishes his GMAT and I finish my comp exams.

Yeah, that week my subscap was reeeeeally tight and didnt get loosened up till later in the week, all while my forearm felt like complete death from overuse, made it impossible to lock anything out that far back. Normally I dont have a problem with stuff behind or locking out since I used to be a gymnast.
