LA Seminar Headcount
So who is coming out? I'd like to be able to put some faces with names.
For those who haven't heard, check it out: www.LAStrengthSeminar.com

Eric, what are the chances of you guys doing a seminar in Las Vegas?
I guess I'm semi-serious here as my wife and I have our home timeshare there and we go regularly even though we're in the UK. Co-ordinating a vacation with a seminar should be doable! And maybe seminar attendees may like to see the sights of Las Vegas too.

Unless they recently moved the Los Angeles Airport Hotel to San Antonio, I won't be able to make it. I wish though, I hope to get to one of these soon.

Vegas would be a tough one to swing. West Coast seminars are traditionally tough to pull off, and there are a lot more "incidentals" with Vegas than LA. LA is more central for a lot of people, so we're hoping that it'll fly (that way we can come back and do more down the road).

If I make it (which it looks like I will), I'll be sleeping on the floor of Nate Green's room haha.
I look forward to your seminars Eric!

Damn I wish I could make this one but the 350 mile drive would be a pain to get back to work the next day.
Any chance for a Northern Cal seminar?

This was an awesome post Mike just made; I couldn't have said it better myself.

WARNING: Rant coming!
Ok all, take this with a grain of salt - if it applies to you, then sack up and register. If it doesn't (and I don't claim to know everyone's financial situations, etc.), then nevermind. Basically, if I'm talking to you, you'll know it.
I was just chatting with Eric, and I'm pretty irritated with people always complaining about the sites of these seminars. No matter how great a location someone secures, people are always complaining that it's too far, will cost too much, etc. It happened with DC, it happened when people were planning the Austin seminar, and now it's happening again. Frankly, I'm sick of hearing it. After all, do you want us to just come to your house and present for you?
Seriously, think about that: Even if you have to fly out for the weekend, stay in a hotel, pay for your food, etc., how much will this weekend cost you? $800? $1000 tops? Isn't $1000 pretty cheap when you think about how much wasted time you'll save in training? I would gladly pay $1000 to know that the next year of my training was going to be the best ever. What if you pick up 5, 10, or 20 things from this seminar alone that can immediately improve your training - would it be worth it then? Because if you don't think it's going to happen, you'll get at least 20 tips just from hearing JB and Alwyn alone.
Sometimes I just get fed up with this; everyone wants to be bigger, get stronger, have a great physique, or look great nekkid. But when push comes to shove, when you can REALLY DO SOMETHING THAT WILL TAKE YOU TO THAT NEXT LEVEL, the room goes silent; all of a sudden, everyone shuts up. As the saying goes, "Don't talk about it, be about it."
If you want to be in the exact same position next year that you are in right now, by all means find an excuse and don't come. However, if you are serious about training - getting stronger, looking better, and staying healthy - get your damn money in because it's going to be worth every penny.
Now, with all that said, I hope to see a ton of you in 6 weeks!
Stay strong
MR

Seriously, guys, I was commuting eight hours a week to train at South Side - and it was worth every penny. Paul drove 90 minutes to come train with Tony and I, and he said it was well worth his time. A full weekend of this stuff literally TRANSFORMS people; you'll be amazed at how well you're able to weed through the BS in this industry once you've spent some time around those in the know.

It's a five-hour drive. That's peanuts. Think of all the times you've stayed up late to watch the Tonight Show or something else and wound up going into work tired the next day. This is no different - except that it'll energize your training sessions in the months and years that follow.
Hell, I bet I could get that deadlift in your signature up to 405 in ten minutes of talking with you in the hotel lobby.

I think $1K is a bit overblown. Figure $50x2 nights for hotel room (get a roommate) and $299 for registration fees. Throw in $50 for food for the weekend, and you're at $450. The rest just depends on whether you drive or fly. Anybody within six hours ought to drive; that's a given. Flights are cheaper than ever. I can't see people topping $800 if they try.
