Thanks

Hey Oldguy!
Ppl say yr the "informed" one when it comes to Max-OT? Well, good news is that I am in week 6, and even though I had a few setbacks, It is really good. Made good gains. I was thinking of moving on to a more tailored program for cutting, if you know what I mean. Would you recomend anything, besides Max-OT?

RR&D would be good, you're still training in the same range as Max-OT.

Go over to T-Nation and look at Berardi's "Hard Body Manifesto". I don't have the links here. The articles gives you guidelines for setting up a fat loss program.

Turbulence Training is the best. Check out some of the threads in the training logs forum. A lot of folks using TT in there (and me, too.).

There have been a lot of "one month" versions in Men's Fitness recently, but you can find all the info at turbulencetraining.com

There is no best. It depends on how your body will respond. You have to try different things and go with the one that works for you. It basically comes down to your eating.

I agree. You can also cut on pretty much any routine. No special routinges actually required.

But, if you're looking for something that a lot of people have had great success with, TT is a great way to go.

The fact that book authors and magazine editors look to Craig for fat loss routines is a great testament to TT.

While you can cut with pretty much any routine, would someone have done better with another, fat loss specific, routine?

It's a little about stacking the deck in your favor. Using Turbulence Training is like having an ace up my sleeve...

Turbulence Training hands down . I'm going to start again, next week. I took a couple weeks off to work on some of my weak points, and now I'm going to start back up with TT on Monday.

Well, I am unable to buy the program at this point in time. I guess I will try RR&D. Anyone tried TAP, a friend said it was good. Would you agree?

I've done the TAP workout and still pretty much eat that way.

It is a good program, if you haven't done it already, give it a try.

It's a nine week lifting program, in three phases, starting with a two week acclimation phase.

Many people continue to follow it's nutritional advice after the nine week program.

Looks like nobody's mentioned Phase 1 of Homegrown Muscle - also known as Iron Manual. Very good cutting program.

Also, Phase 10 of HGM - you will lose weight on this program, and get a great response from your muscles as well.

And, to echo many other people, TT.

As stated earlier, one can cut on any routine. The question is: which routine will help you best preserve lean mass while cutting fat? RRD2 is supposed to serve that purpose really well. So is TT for Fat Loss. I'm not sure what the science says about the best approach to this. Plus, of course, different things may work for different people. I think in any case, once does not want to overwork the muscles with really intense or frequent workouts since calories are low and there isn't enough going in with which to rebuild muscle. I believe that's why RRD just hits muscles once a week; to stimulate/use them, but not overtrain them while in a caloric deficit.

Hey Chris Correia,
Well that idea came to me about 2 in the morning after a good time with my old friends. We were chilling at a eatery and talking about life...
ANYWAY, I have noticed throughout the years, that America is always infront, especially with promoting certain ideas. For example, fashion, design and even fitness. Now, every country is able to produce such ideas, but to what extent? How are they any good at putting that idea to paper? and are the same people willing to share and learn together? In many cases, Malaysians are not passoinate about what they are doing. If its work, its because they have to put food on the table. If its exercising, its because the other guy is also doing it. There are so many instances that show the passion that Americans have. Just look at your cars. Its tech far surpases what some other countries could even dream about. Without kicking my own country upside down, I just wanted to make a point that Americans are passionate about what they do, and If Malaysians what to be good at what we do,we have to be passionate too.
