John,
I'm so glad you agreed to do the interview. I have been passing around a copies of the interview to various friends and family and they have all been blown away. This is a topic where there is a lot of speculation in the internet but no one is giving real information -Until now.
On a totally different note....NewLife where in VT do you live. I'm living in burlington for two more days but I grew up in Craftsbury (northeast kingdom)

Wow, I am 15 minutes max away from Burlington. I live in Colchester near the bay. I've done some biking near Craftsbury, and it is such a great place. What a small world!!

Great interview! John, you never cease to amaze me. Anthropoligist, skier, skateboarder, mountain biker, nutrition expert, and all around humble and nice guy. If you weren't so cool I'd hate you! :p
Michael, I really liked how you structured that interview as well. For a long article it was very easy to read. Kept me rivetted all the way to the end. I'm really glad that you've found us over here at JPfitness and look forward to reading more of your work. Feel free to post any of your old articles for us. You have a captive audience over here.

That was rather informative; I panicked at first when I saw the parts about Nalgenes, since I use mine all the time. Regarding the plastics, I guess I shouldn't be using the Boston Market frozen lunches since they're soft, microwavable plastics.

I cook stuff in a tupperware occasionally. I guess since I don't heat liquids in my Nalgene (not counting them sitting in the sun, which doesn't get them to boiling point, or they'd be significantly less refreshing after tennis), it's not an issue, as pointed out in the article.

Thanks for the great feedback everyone! And I agree, JP, Mike did a fantastic job in structuring the interview.
I was as freaked out as you guys when I started learning about xenoestrogens, because I was all about plastic storage containers. It's still hard to avoid, but even small changes can make a difference.

Damn! Nalge-Nunc (makers of Nalgene bottles) is based in Rochester, and one of my largest customers!!
I'll stay hush-hush about the latest findings with their bottles!
Interesting stuff, John!

DAMN IT!
I used a CRAP load of the disposable ziploc style containers to carry my lunch back and forth in, and NUKE in! GRR! Now I have to get pyrex for at work and do dishes!
Oh and to make matters more fun I have started brewing tea in my nalgene bottle! Guess I'll try and avoid that as well!
We are still ok transporting food in tupperware, just not heating it?
