in a word - no

when youre first starting out, a lot of diet and exercise routines are trial and error. its not until youve been at it awhile that you know how your body will respond.

a picture may be worth a thousand words, but none of those words can tell us how your body will respond to a training stimulus or diet. there are a lot of well-informed and educated people on here, but none of them are so good that they can tell you what to do from a picture.

there is more than enough info on this website to get you started. instead of sitting at the computer, you could be out getting started.

come back after youve researched, found a routine, and started a diet.

I could be very wrong on this, but after a quick glance at your photos, it looks like you may have some pretty significant postural problems that you might want to correct. Your shoulders appear to be rounded forward, which is usually a pretty good indicator of excessive curvature of the back.

There are two articles that jump to mind. Both can be found by searching at www.t-nation.com -
a) Cracking the Rotator Cuff Conundrum
b) Neanderthal No More

Beyond that, following any of the so-called "guy programs" will really help you get stronger and firmer. Just add like 2-4 reps over the recommended rep range and use a *slightly* lighter weight. If you want to get in good shape, you don't want to use pink dumbbells. You want to move some serious iron

Go to the training forum and look at Cappucino and Training Girls logs to get some idea.

going back to the postural thing, "scrawny to brawny" has a pretty solid "corrective" phase that could address some of those issues as well.

Hard to give you a legit critique since you are wearing baggy pants. Can't tell if you have muscular legs or not. Have any more pics?

find Craig Ballantyne. He'll help u. Doing those Fitness video things won't always help. Most of them actually lead the wrong path.

Try to show your legs flexed, and also a back shot flexing your arms if you have a friend that can help or a timer on your camera.

With no money or equipment, this may be tough. What is your diet like? Eating habits? Do you normally cook your own meals, or opt for take out?

What is your goal? Lose weight? Gain Mass? Both? Also, do you have a Bike or some other type or cardio? Have you thought about running or doing sprints?

Kate it is very hard to lose weight and gain muscle at the same time.

Does your school have a weight room? My does and thats how I first started getting into it. Granted it was very limited but it helped.

Use what you can. You can even fill up empty Milk gallons with water and use those as weights.

For aerobics you should try some HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training). It something like jogging for 90 seconds and then sprinting for 30. Intervals of Sprinting and Jogging is what it is.

I seconded the Scrawny to Brawny recomendation. Dont be scared away by the title!! Your not going to look like the Hulk if you lift weights.

Theres a weight lifting woman. Doesnt look like the hulk to me.

Kate,
My wife did the first phase (corrective phase) of Scrawny to Brawny with me, and it really both of us improve our posture. I would suggest checking it out.
