Well, Alextown's diggin' up of old logs got me thinking. So I checked mine and also checked my measurements. Seems last time I took those was just over a year ago. So, I figured what the hell? Let's check out my measurements. I was pretty happy with the progress I found. These are from July 2, 2005 - July 22, 2006 and are according to the measurements used by mybodycomp.com. I've found it to be not very accurate (I'm leaner than last year, but it says that I've add 2% bodyfat), but hey it saves my stuff and lets me compare and it gives me a general idea. The biggest increases.
-I've grown 2.5 inches in height
-only put on 6 pounds

-+.75" on my neck
-+2.25" on my shoulders
-+3" on my chest
-+.5" on my calf
-+.25" on my arm (That's ok because it used to be 11.75" with a lotta flab, now its a muscular 12" with little fat)
-+1" on my forearm
My waist grew minimally, .25" to 32.25". The other areas that didn't show an increase in size were: abdomen and thigh. But, I know I've lost fat and replaced it with muscle in those places. So, I'm feeling pretty good about the gains I've made. But I'm also pissed that it's been a year and I've only put on 6 pounds. I was up to 185, but lost 10 pounds

because of baseball and working out in the hottttttt sun. The goal is to put all that back on plus more. I plan on being at least 195 by this time next year, when I'm about to turn 17.
So yea, I'm pretty pleased with what I saw, but it was also a kick in the ass to get me goin to keep adding to it so next year I can look back and see that I've continued to make progress. I gotta paint my room now but I plan on gettin downstairs tonight to lift a little bit. I'm just doing some random stuff until I get Eric's manual and put together a routine. Just basic lifts and some variations: deads, squats, bench, rows, etc. Kinda like a deloading week. Ok, I'm out
