Default Mixed Grip Tweak

The last few heavy deadlift sessions, I've had difficulty when I switch to a left over, right under grip. The reverse feels great. However, when my left is pronated, I feel a small shift in my left elbow on the pull, and my brachioradialis tweaks, making pullups painful.

I was wondering if anybody had encountered this before. I can't seem to stop the elbow "twitch" when I pull, no matter how I change the grip, etc.

I don't want to pull only with the left under for fear of developing an imbalance.

I know it's hard without seeing it... any thoughts?

I know I can only pull one way. If I switch hands it feels really funny on big weights. I probally have an imbalance.

You might way to look at the olympic grip. Ive been playing with it and I think once I get the hang of it, ill use it.

What do you mean by Olympic grip? I always think "snatch grip" when I hear that...

Gotcha. I've got medium-length, thick fingers, so it's a challenge... but perhaps worth the effort.

Almost anyone can do the grip with enough practace. It hurts a bit when you start but it seems to go away. I think pulling this way would be easier on the arms too, ive heard of occasional torn biceps on heavy deadlifts before. Probally not to common though!
