Default MR's latest...

18 tips for bulletproof knees.

I'm fortunate to have good knees, for the most part. I think mostly the supporting muscles around my knee aren't as strong as they could be.

Excellent!!

My knees seem to be getting crunchier, so I definitely needed this. Time to look for some knee sleeves.

I usually don't have the patience to read all the post-article chitchat on T-N, but in this case it's very informative. Mike answers every question thoroughly.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words!

As well, I'm always lurking around the site, so if any of you ever have questions feel free to let me know. I try and post whenever possible, but sometimes things get in the way

Thanks again!

Mike,

Do you have any references/studies for the dosage of glucosamine & chondroitin to consume? I just started taking these sups this month, but at half the dosage you take (750/650 vs 1500/1200). Is there a proven benefit for the higher dose, or conversely, a minimum level that is required to see the desired effect?

If you run a Pubmed search for glucosamine and chondroitin, the typical amount they give in studies is 1500/1200.

As I stated in the article, the research on G&C isn't the best; one study will show good results, the second will show none. In a case like this, I listen to the people that know more about nutrition than me (like John Berardi) - he uses it, so that's good enough for me

And since we're on the topic, I use the NOW brand from Bulk Nutrition; you can get a 4 month supply for $50, which isn't bad at all. The NOW brand has been ranked very highly on the Consumer Lab website, which is why I chose to use that brand.

Hope that helps!

Stay strong
MR
