Default maximise weight loss in 6 days

I want to maximise weight loss in 6 days (before my holiday).

I go to the gym daily and aim for 500 calories, my diet consists of things like pasta, potato, beans ect, healthy in my opinion! Before i go to the gym i drink about 3 strong coffee's to maximise the session as caffeine helps your metabolism, i spend about 20-30 minutes muscle building (but im generally not a muscley person).

ANy tips on how to maximise fat loss in such short period of time?

Thanks

Cut out all carbs, youll loose the most amount of weight.

wait..

did you say 500cals? thats not even close to enough cals during the day. That must be a typo.

For absolute max results (although it no means is it healthy or recomended by many) Try somthing like the velocity diet over at t-nation and try some ephedrine and caffine. Thats probally the only way youll make much noticable difference in 6 days. Hit up some low intensity cardio and youll probally loose 5-7lbs (2-3 being water weight).

I dont really recomend that. But its going to be the fastest and probally only way youll make progress in 6 days!

Cut the pasta and potatos, for one. Post your diet and workout in it's entirety and you'll get better responses.

Why wait so late to start cutting? There really isn't a safe way to lose more than a pound or 2 in 6 days. Like Frank said, 500 cals is not nearly enough. If you cut too many out and try to exercise, you'll end up burning your lean muscle. Any of those quick fix fat loss diets are going to leave you feeling like crap on holiday. Fat doesn't get there over night, and you can't get rid of it overnight either.

My advice, eat at 250 calories below maintenance, don't go overboard with cardio and what not, and enjoy your holiday... even if you have a few more pounds than you like.

Could easily be..

But im not kidding when I say I know people that think like this.

One girl I went to school with would live off of sugar free jello and instant cup a soups (had about 80 cals in one).

She would be hard presses to get 1000cals in a day, yet would somehow wake up every morning at 5am and be at the gym doing high intensity cardio for 45minutes!

Funny thing was, she didnt even look fit and wouldnt listen to a word of advice from anyone..

Oh well, some people will never learn I think.

But for steady healthy fat loss steve-o is right. Although I personally think that you could go 500 under maintainence. But that of ocurse depends on the person.

Don't be so quick to judge. This is a classic sign of an eating disorder. You can't just "talk some sense" into someone like this. Believe me, I know from first hand experience. It's a disease.

To the original poster: if you really are only eating about 500 calories a day, please, please realize that this is NOT HEALTHY in the least. you need to seek help immediately.
If it was a typo, please list more about your diet and exercise program. It looks like you've got a long road to haul but we're here to help.

If this is a joke, it's not really funny.

Nah..

A very close friend of mine had an eating disorder, this is different. Ive seen what an eating disorder can do to a person and its not pretty.

But.. This girl would complain about hunger all day long and just refuse to eat. It was just a case of lack of education on the issue.

you're screwed. you should have started 6 months ago. 6 weeks. enough time to actually do something. short of dioretics (sp?) and a colon cleansing, you're not going to do anything in that period of time.

Frank> gymrat has had his own experiances with loved ones and eating disorders, so don't discount the possibility.

I had a girlfriend that had a pretty serious eating disorder. I do fully understand the seriousness and the harm. And actually I myself have what some may consider a disorder (hyperthyroidism) but thankfully im on medication for it. If not for that I would be pretty damn skinny. Wow Ive gone way of topic..

My point got taken very badly! haha. I was just trying to say its essential to eat enough food while trying to lean out.

And to the original poster, One thing to keep in mind is that people wont notice any appearence differences in general until you change by 10lbs. This is approx of course. I have found it holds fairly true though (works both ways too).

reduce yuor carbs down, dont eliminate the are readily available energy sources and will kick start your metabolism.

Aim for 4 litres of ice cold water per day to shed that excess retained water and fire off your metabolism good and proper.

Assume as Ruma that 500 cals is your aimed for burn if not you are reducing your chances of fat loss.

And plan ahead for next year when you can actualy make a reasonable difference

Try cutting the weight. Put a stationary bike inside a sauna and go at it for 45 mins straight. Do that a few times a day. Not healthy, but gives you the results you want.

Sounds like my old wrestling weight control plan. All you'll do is loose water weight, not fat. It comes back as soon as you drink.
