hey, it's 300lbs! It's more than 80% of of people in the gym will lift. Now, go break the 400lb mark, and you'll be in the 90%! Plus, it's over 1.5x bodyweight! Good job.

22lb PR

418lbs @ 180lbs(no I didn't gain 8lbs, my scales were just shit)
2.32 x BW
Raw, Mixed Grip

Went up quick, so attempting 440lbs next week. I'm contemplating putting on a belt for this one, I think 440lbs will be VERY close to my max, if not my max, or a bit over it.

If it is in your mind that the belt will give you a safer lift, I would belt up. When you grab the bar you want to be very sure of your abilities and strength, if the belt reinforces your mental strength go for it.

Little belt tip, power breathing against the belt will increase your stability and strength a good deal.

I decided I don't think I will use a belt, maybe if I fail it, I'll put on a belt for a second attempt though.

Wearing a belt won't affect my mental strength.

Woohoo! 22lb PR!!

440lbs @ 180lbs
2.44 x BW
Raw, Mixed Grip

Yeah, Okay, I'll stop spamming this thread(for now). Backing off next week, then starting low to build up again. This one wasn't exactly easy, but it went up without too much trouble, very close to my (current)limit for sure.

And Mahler, I just joined "the club" too

Stu
StuWard,
This is the first post of yours I have seen, so welcome. Your avatar gives you the title of "old fart" and you are a mere 51. You are not even approaching "old fart-dom." Now, I am 59 and on the cusp of "old fart" territory, but due to my lifts there are not too many who will tell me that. I am not an old fart. Those are just protein farts.

Thanks for the welcome. I've read a few of your posts. It's really inspirational to see someone make the kind of progress you are making at your age. I had been getting discouraged with a couple of popular routines. I would make quick progress, then overtrain, get sick and wind up further behind in the end. This year, I'm sticking to my own routine, making slower progress but steadier progress and I'm paying more attention to recovery.

I would like to maybe be added to this list as well. At 185lbs I pulled 420 for 5 clean reps. I'm guessing for one I can do at least 450. that puts my weight per bodyweight at 2.43. I have a video to back up my 420x5 claim if needed.
