Great article Kelly. It was very eye opening for me. I have Mitral Valve Prolapse, and I didn't realize that this could be indirectly related to my difficulty in building muscle. I can't wait for part 2.

im reading it now, good read so far.. has me questioning wheather i am the skinny fat one or the lean one :S
this made me giggle: "In the case of the skinny fat ectomorph the message screams, “Stay scrawny and weak!”
i just picture a little scared looking creature inside the body standing around screaming that :P
"From an endocrine perspective, the body does not differentiate much between stressors. Which means that emotional stress, a lack of sleep, a bad relationship, a shitty job, dealing with stupid people,"
does that mean i have to stop comming to this site?
Only kidding guys :P
and please, do post here or send me a PM when "next time" is, i gotta read that

Finally, an article that describes me to a "T". I cannot wait for the next part to find out what I should be doing (obviously not what I am currently doing).

Interesting. Do you suffer from any of the nervous system affects I talked about? Anxiety, insomnia, extreme sensitivity to various drugs, etc?

Kelly how would yuo classify my body type Im at a loss on this one.....
Up to my mid 20's I was as thin as a rake ate like a horse and never put on any weight ever! 20's hit and I bulked pretty easy still low body fat, then I got fat simply through over eating. Then I worked hard got skinny and now Im bulking again, muscle again seems to be going on easy but so does fat!
It just doesnt seem to make sense or am I misreading it all totaly?
All I know now is I am definitely suffering as an FFB!

I seem to be the only person who gets an article on "Corrective Methods For Common Postural Deviations: The Shoulder" by Marc McDougal when I click on that link. It's a good article so I can't complain, but I'm very confused.

I get the same. There is a link to Kelly's article on the left side, though.

Kelly,
You asked earlier if I have any of the nervous system effects from MVP that you described in the article. I sometimes do get a bit anxious, but that is about it. I was born with another heart condition that was repaired when I was four. The MVP is a result of scarring and other issues from my operation.

I was just thinking about this thread yesterday, but I couldn't remember what it was titled to bump it back up. Good call WorkinOnIt.
