Default Alwyn's Program design bible

Anyone bought it? I've been debating either buying that or a dragging sled, but being a poor college student, I was hoping for a review before I shell out $150

There are a couple on here already if you search around. I have it and love it. Easily one of the best books I own. If you plan to do any type of training it will make your life quite a bit easier. Alwyn's "system" is amazing.

On the sled topic, buying a sled is really really un-necessary. We made one for training that we have loaded up into the 400-500's with no problem that cost about $10 to make. Its a really simple design and travels easy. It involves a 4x4 block of wood, an eye bolt, some chain, two metal corner brackets so the wood doesn't contact the ground, and then two metal pipes mounted to the 4x4. I will find the products on home depots website tomorrow if what I described is pretty confusing (I am guessing it is).

On Alwyn's book...I just read in off-topic that your goal is training people. In that case its definatly a must buy, at least in my mind.

Definatly worth the money, it is what I am buying with my first paycheck this summer from best buy, after the bandwidth of course.

Also I know Craig has some articles on how he designs his programs on the All Access Pass site which I found to be a great read.

Well worth it. Worth twice the amount really. Especially in your future profession.

Danny, I have to say that sounds like a good option for the sled, but I'm having trouble picturing the design. Did you get the design off some website or make it your self?

I really can't take credit, one of the guys I train with made it, but its a super simple design.

I am at my mom's house right now and stuck on dial up internet but as soon as I get back to school I will go find the parts on home depots website and MS Paint a design of what I am talking about.

Here's a thread where Bill Hartman described how to build your own sled.

I'm going to kind of be the spoiler here and give the manual a disappointing review.

The reason being is because i read Alwyn's newsletters and articles with a fine toothed comb, and after reading the manual, i simply found that there really wasn't anything new in it that i hadn't gotten from his newsletter over the last number of years.

But, at the same time, it does help that it's in an organized format that can be used for easy reference.

If you hadn't gotten Alwyn's newsletter until recently (or if you still don't sign up now!!!) then yes, this will be a very helpful manual.
