Default Hypertrophy Booster Shots... scholarly opinions?

Sounds like an interesting idea... but does anyone have reasons against this kind of training?

while not a scholar by any stretch...it seems kind of odd to me that you would identify weak areas and then bastardize a legitimate program to put the extra emphasis on them.

why not move the lagging parts up to the beginning of the workout and or earlier in the week? why not drop a set from the antagonist group?

IMO if it's a good program you should be at 100% all the way around (as a rule)...if you have a part or two lagging then emphasize it in your planning, you don't necissarily need to comprimise your program for the sake a little bit to your quads\calves\bicepts\whatever.

If you're lagging it's because you're doing poor programs or not giving an honest effort on that part = primary concern.
