4. Prehabilation Movements

This can include exercises for the knee and hip joints. The best movements for this purpose include any type of lower body sled dragging.
I don't have a sled...yet. So what kind of exercises do you guys recommend to strengthen the knee and hip joints?

Do you got a tire and a piece of rope? Cause that can work too. Just tie the rope around the tire and like make a harness with the other end to put over your shoulders. You might need two ropes for that.

I believe Nate (Rev) made one and he posted about it a while ago. It was just a tire and rope. You might want to look that up

Get a weight plate(s) and thread your rope thru the hole. I would invest in a harness / strap and just use weight plates (flat side down of course).

We often pulled Canoes instead of portaging them.. when we didn't want to unpack them and the trail was not rocky. You can put as little or as much weight in them as you wish..

But I guess about as much chance for anyone to have a canoe around as there is having a sled..

humm.. we have two.. might try doing some of that next summer, for old times sake lol.

I made a sled out of 3/4 inch plywood and used climbing rope for a harness. It just clips on to a weightbelt and pulls from the waist. And I thought there was no use for a weightbelt!
