I am sure there is a thread here somewhere on this topic, but since I am new to this board, I figured I would take this opportunity to start a new thread and make a list of MUST READS as far as strength/conditioning/nutritio n is concerned. And no Eric, you can't list your "Guide to MILF Hunting" on here....:p
For me: in no particular order:
Starting Strength by Marc Rippetoe
Science and Practice of Strength Training: Zatsiorsky
Essentials of Strength and Conditioning: NSCA
Ketogenic Diet: Lyle McDonald
Facts and Fallacies of Fitness : Mel Siff
Flexible Dieting: Lyle McDonald
Ultimate Diet 2.0: Lyle McDonald
CT's two e-books.
That's just a start anyways. I think all the above would be solid books for anyone to read.
Book of Muscle - Lou Schuler & Ian King
The News Rules of Lifting - Lou Schuler & Alwyn Cosgrove
Nutrient Timing - John Ivy & Robert Portman
Supertraining - Mel Siff
I could I forget those!!! Shame on me. I have all three. I actually saw McGill speak last month and it was awesome. If anyone ever gets the opportunity to see him speak, I highly suggest it.
I also had the opportunity to sit down with Mike Boyle (Designing Strength Training Programs and Facilities AND Functional Training) and he is just a class act guy and sooooooo knowledgable. It's not often one can sit down for a few hours and talk shop with one of the premier elite strength coaches in the country.
I've always been looking for some books to pick up to read more into strength and conditioning. I'll have to check those out Tony G, Keith, and Lou and try and pick some up to read over the summer.

The Home Workout Bible - Lou Schuler & Mike Mejia
The Book of Muscle - Lou Schuler & Ian King
The New Rules of Lifting - Lou Schuler & Alwyn Cosgrove
Core Performance - Mark Versteggen
Muscle Logic - Charles Staley
Oh you know it! I am pulling in Lou Schuler money.

But is it enough to cover the post-strongman beer tabs?

Program Design Bible by Alwyn Cosgrove is kick ass. I would recommend it to anyone.
I am most of the way through Science of Sport Training by Kurz and I have really liked that as well.
Both of Christian Thibs books have been pretty good.
And of course anything with Lou Schulers name on it. The guy is great (and I ghost wrote all his books).

Between Eric and I, we are ALWAYS getting books in the mail. He gets a lot sent to him from other people (cool for me) and we both buy a ton as well. Always something good to read. Cosgrove's Program Design is next
