Question Getting fustrated

My goal is build size and strength. I don't want a cheese grater stomach, etc. Maybe one day, but not now.
I have been weight lifting for about 13 months and I am getting frustrated and I need some quality guidence.
I am a 34 yr male, 5' 9.5" 155 lbs(same as when I started). Desk job.
I have been told by a few people to eat as much as possible to get more calories. I take in around 2.5-3 k cal/day. I do watch what I eat, but do eat an average diet, trying to cut out overly fatty foods, etc. I seem to be getting marginally stronger, no bigger and getting a little thicker than I would like in the mid-section.

My current routine(all sets are 3 of 8,6,4 reps(last set is go till failure if I hadn't already) and free weights);

Monday:
flat bench - 145, 155, 160
Incline bench - 135, 145, 155
fly - 30, 35, 40
weighted push-ups - 45 lb for ~6, 25 for 3 nothing for 3 then fail
Nose breakers - (curly bar + 20, 25, 30)
Tricep cables - 50, 60, then reverse 40, 50

Tuesday
Weighten pull-ups(25 lb vest) 12, 9, 6 reps
mid-rows - 50, 60, 70
cable pulldowns - 160, 170, 180
mid row cables - 130, 140, 150
low rows - 130, 140, 150

Thursday
dumbell military press - 45, 50, 55
barbell shrugs - 220, 225, 230
incline military press - 45, 50, 55
dumbell shrugs - 85, 90, 95
front raises - 25, 30, 35
side raises - 25, 30, 35
rear raises - 25, 30, 35

Saturday
squats - 135, 145, 155
leg press - 230, 270, 320
Straight leg dead lifts - 220, 225, 230
Various quad, calf exercises I can't remeber the names of the machines.

I really enjoy lifting and I am in the process of starting a cario routine of 2 miles(20 min) 3-4 times a week to see if that will help.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong? I would like to get bigger, not huge, just bigger all around(except mid-section, ). I have set a goal for myself of a 225 bench by New Years and I really want to make it!

TIA, Ken

I you want to put on more weight, you're going to have to eat more. Also, when is the last time you've switched up your routine? It's good to switch it up every couple of months. I personally do a full body routine every other day, but to each his own.

I agree with Physics on this. Tim eto take a step back and re-evaluate.

I have to say that adding cardio (though it's a healthy choice) will do nothing to add mass. In fact...I'm not sure "adding" to your training is the answer. You might consider moving to a 3 day a week full body workout.

I see that you are doing squats and DL's on Saturday. I do these on seperate days just so I can maintain entensity levels during my workout.

The "high level" of the "Scrawny to Brawny" program it is that some of us echtomorphs have to train/eat differently in order to grow. That means doing shorter intense workouts and eating to gain the mass.

I know that your post is here in S2B. But do you have this program? If not...I recommend it. It's not the best layed out book...takes some thought to figure out you routines. But the underlying philosphies in the book can be helpful to anyone wanting to grow.

I gained 15 pounds during my S2B stint but lost it all when I decided to run a 1/2 Marathon.

Long winded I am. Sorry
