Well ive completed my first year of weight lifting, and besides having deconditioning breaks and a nasty back injury (2 weeks) Im pleased to say ive been damn consistent. I was reviewing whats changed in this past year and thought i'd share the results.
I may not post alot, but the JPfitness short cut is on my destop and I read several times a week. Alot of whats happened in my training (99%) has come from this forum...thanx!
Keep in mind when you read these results I always considered myself strong, its amazing what the weights exposed in me, I/am was weak.
I could go on...its been a great year. I usually follwed a 6by4 or 5by5 system. I do martial arts as my HIIT as well. Currently doing RR&D 3 weeks in, trying to cut up a bit while enjoying the weather.
Now to set new goals and continue the climb.
Thanks again....
David.W
David,
Absolutely great things going on there.
The numbers speak for themselves, but the numbers would not be there without your determination and consistency.

any changes in bodyweight?
I wish i'd kept a better total of my weight and bf% but being a complete noob to the game i was focused on form and didnt see the benefit at the time. As an average i started at 195lbs (approx) Im now 192lbs, I do get alot of "hey your looking great" or "have you lost weight?" comments though. Clothes feel great...wifes happy That testosterone is great stuff...I look alot leaner, although there is work to be done.
Thanks guys...It really makes a difference when you compare the 'then' and 'now' numbers. Im really looking forward to next years achievments...im on a high this morning, its really made every grunt, doubt and injury worth it so far. Quiting really is the only form of failure.
David, you've made excellent progress and should be proud. Those comments you're getting and your improved health are your rewards. Good going!
PS Nice to see yet another Canucker on the board!

Awesome! I love posts like this. It provides some much-needed extra motivation (beyond the weekly MMMM fix). It's easy to glance at my log for the last few weeks and get discouraged to see so little change... then you remind me to keep the bigger picture in mind, keep going, and perhaps look at my log again after a year is up.
Thanks! Maybe I'll post my numbers in a few months when my first year is up.

The bigger picture... well I am stronger this year by a landslide compared to last year, I just imagine whats gone on at a cellular level. To say I am 1 year older (32 now) and almost twice as strong is just fine with me. RacerBill Id love to see your yearly numbers...
Mahler your advice this year has been crucial thanks...
While im here, Ive been reading about imbalances this year...by looking at my 'then and now' numbers is there anyway to tell if strength is relatively balanced????
