Default My arms and legs aren't bulking!

I'm starting Phase IV next week and my results so far have been mediocre.
I have added significant bulk to my chest and shoulders, gone from 190 lbs. - 203 lbs., however, my arms and legs have not gained any mass, nor do they look more muscular. I got the same results doing a 3 day split last spring.

What's the deal? I'm am 6'3" and 190 lbs when I started--long legs and arms. I've stuck to the diet, and routines, very closely. I consume around 4500 calories on workout days, and 3800 on nonworkout days. I am gaining weight---that's not the problem. Anyone who eats that much quality food, and lifts heavy, will gain some muscle mass. It's just not going to my arms and legs. It is so frustrating!

I did a month long corrective phase. I'm proficient at all the excercises. The only problem I've had is with the hang snatch.

Any tips, comments, etc. are appreciated. Thanks!

if your getting bigger in your legs n chest your arms are growing, just remember your biceps are one of the smallest muscles in your body, your arms are growing just not to the extent of your legs n chest due to their size, start measuring them n check back in a motnh or two you will see improvements. Keep your head up and you'll have to carry a permit for your guns in no time.

Steve,

I think you misunderstood me.

My chest and shoulders are bulking, while my arms and legs aren't bulking. That is my concern--the quads are one of the biggest muscle groups and have not seen any muscle mass so far.

I realize the biceps are smaller and require more time to develop.

Is it realistic for me to see any significant changes on my arms or legs during the last phase?

Thanks.

AJR I think we all have a predominance to a cretai muscle group in our body, thats why there are so many different sports out there employing differing natural abilities. But I think proportion is the answer. Make sure you measure them up and keep track as self visual perception is often misleading. If you are working them hard and progressing on the weights they will grow, but maybe the one shoe fits all training programme approach is not specificaly playing to your own genetic advantage???? Just a thought?

That's Interesting BFG. New to me.

So...what does a person do if they have a predom...pr...what you said?

I mean...what kinds of changes in his routine would be recommended? Less shoulder and chest work until the arms and legs catch up??

I'm not being smart here. I'm really curious on this. Though I have had little to no significant growth anywhere...I do tend to see the most change in my chest. My arms are the same size I started with 2 years ago. My legs might be a smidget larger...

But enough about me. Can I assume that some pro body builders have this same issue and have to adjust the amount of training they do that directly affects those specific parts?

PS - I'm pretty sure I can let my chest grow a while longer before I begin looking out of porportion.

I've never really thought about this issue and would appreciate hearing opinions.

I feel AJR's pain. I mean, my arms have gotten bigger from before, the rest of my body has gotten bigger, (just starting phase 4) but i have seen no mass gain in my forearms and my calves, and it just annoying when people say i am still skinny (i am but not that skinny still) even though i gained 20 pounds. Did anyone see bigger forearms when they were finished?
