Default Cool new article for ladies

Our Lou is quoted in this new article about ladies fitness/diet. Check it out: Lose weight like a guy

You can always count on Lou for good info and a great laugh!

Good article. So true about men's cravings vs. womens. I crave that huge piece of chocolate cake, while hubby craves the steak.

If only we could get more women to lift heavier weights without being scared. I have friends that would read that article and still wouldn't believe it (that they won't get huge, that is). I try every chance I get to tell women to stop lifting the pink dumbbells. One day it just has to sink in.

Edit: The article also touches on something I was thinking about earlier today. When I went to the gym, I would see the same people there, doing the same light exercises, the same cardio, for a year...and they look exactly same the same now they did a year ago! I lifted heavy, went down in size, up in muscle and made positive changes. Why is it so hard for someone to make changes to their routine when they aren't getting the results they want for months at a time? Because they think they'll get big?? It's obvious what they are doing hasn't worked so far. Change it up people! (Ok, that wasn't directed to anyone here. I just get frustrated when I try to help women and I feel like I'm talking to a brick wall).

I crave steak and ice-cream..though not at the same time...maybe I am in touch with my feminine side?

Thanks for the article RedWifey. Indeed a good one. I think we have the gender opposites in my house when it comes to dieting and lifting. I lift more than my husband and I don't crave as much sugar. But we don't have gender opposites when it comes to household chores

OMG - How Scary! Lou is in my head. I tend to lower my weight so I can do 12-15 reps because I want good form. Of course, when JP sets up my weights I can do about 5. Why can't I turn off my brain when I want to work out?
