On the off days (days 2,4,6) it calls for moderate or medium cardio for 15-20 min. Would just doing hiit be appropriate, or should it be a less intesity because of the workout? I am only going to do the cardio on days 2,4 (twice a week) and rest on the weekends.

I don't think he recommends HIIT. Walking or light jog.

Yeah Im not talking about his new one "The Art"...Im talking about his older one "The Waterbury Method"...it calls for medium intesity jogging...Id rather this, than hiit, trust me..but isnt hiit always recommended over medium intensity?

I wasn't refering to "The Art of..." either. Chad doesn't specifically mention anything on that thread other than doing to 2xper week split with a day of HIIT as the third workout.

*IMO* the jogging\GPP is an active recovery mechanism and should not be confused with a workout. Unless you're very fit (or using too light a weight in the gym) doing HIIT (in between other workout days) might not be the best plan.

hmmm ..like I said, doing moderate cardio vs hiit would definitely be nice, but everyone is always pro- hiit, so this is interesting. Maybe the man himself can chime in and give his thoughts. Im not doubting you at all gobbla, just curious.

HIIT for fat loss - the Waterbury Method is not about fat loss.

Ok, so would I be correct by saying that doing hiit on these days would cause overtraining because of the intensity of the workouts?
