Default Message from Lou Schuler

lou@louschuler.com

Hey, guys. I got a message from Lou. He has been following the forums and noticed the thread about "New Rules." I posted on that thread, but thought this might get more attention. If you send him an e-mail at the addy above he will send you a blank log for the "New Rules" program.

He is missing the forums and can't wait to get back, but he didn't want to leave you guys doing the program, hanging for a workout log.

We need to give him a seriously warm welcome when he returns. As if I need to even tell you guys that.

In Fitness & Friendship,
Mahler

how cool is it to be able to email the author and request workout logs. This book has been awesome.

Yeah, Josh. Lou is one helluva guy. A few authors and trainers could take a lesson from him.

Hell yeah, not many places where the author checks in regularly too and answers questions.

I have been making mental notes of the various places I've seen Lou's books in my travels. The coolest by far was an Elephant trainer in Chiang Mai, Thailand, working out with TAP in a dingy little gym. It was cool as hell.

I did strength 1 and am now in the first week of hypertrophy 1. I'm starting to think with these programs the pain never goes away

Oh yeah, this elephant was freaking huge. He was benching trees with his trunk. ANIMAL!! It must have been the increased fat intake.

I couldn't decide if the book was in Thai, but I think the dude was just working from pictures. Either way, it was pretty cool.

FL2 is a great program, no doubt about that. I just finished it and am about to start on FL3. It looks VERY challenging! Even though these are FL programs I have passed all my previous (albeit pathetic) numbers on all my lifts, so I am very happy. Plus seeing visual results which pretty good after 6-7 weeks! Berardi PN and NROL is a great combination...

Quit yer whining. At least he has full rest in those supersets. In his MA program, there is a similar setup, but starting with an oly lift, and no rest between exercises in the set. Pussies.

None other than Alwyn Cosgrove, who will be the featured trainer at JPs fitness summit in April.

I am not approaching these as purely fat loss programs, but just good solid workouts and they are very challenging.

Ooops. I don't want to misrepresent Alwyn's stuff. I guess his MA training program does include rest between most exercises; I just did my log wrong, and didn't put it in there. No wonder why some of those supersets are so hard. At least I don't have to feel bad about the little lollygagging I do between the two exercises!
