Welcome back, John. I know that you're even happier to be back than we are to have you, and that's saying a lot.

Can't wait for MMMM #100.

Mahler.. very happy to have you back here. But I only wish you are back to your old profile and not in this temp profile.

We missed you more than you missed us

Welcome back Mahler, glad you could be with us and hopefully everything is returned to it's former glory, and you no longer need the "temp" aspect of your name!

Good to have you back either way though!

Og.

Not a geek, just well read. LOL And it's worse than that. I have about 30 ball caps. Would you say I have a plethora of ball caps? My favorite, however, is a tan one with red and black letters that say JP Fitness.

God, what a suck up. No wonder JP was working so hard to get you back online. :-D

My HS freshman algebra teacher used plethora all the time. He was a very smart, but, shall we say, quirky, Jesuit. He read my name out during the first day's roll call and, after saying "Christopher", paused for a brief moment, repeated it a couple of times, then slowly pronounced Mister Christopher, which was the way he referred to me from that point on through four years of HS. LOL

Yep. And Catholic elementary before that, and a Dominican college for BA and a Jesuit college for Masters. Now I'm not even Catholic anymore.

Sorry for the interruption, John. I assume you won't mind this particular side discussion. :-)

So, Chris, is there a logical progression from Bachelor's Degree, to Master's Degree, to Non-Catholic?

Grade School = Sisters of Mercy
High School = Franciscan Friars (OFM Conv)
College (Duquesne University), BS Ed. = Order of the Holy Spirit

I think I will remain Catholic. Catholics have much better stories about their school days.

Hey, I also had the Sisters of (have no) Mercy.

I'd still be Catholic, but I met and married an outsider, who was in religious studies and considering ordination. Our wedding was performed by a woman Southern Baptist minister friend, and two Jesuits, one a canon lawyer. However, Ruth (the minister) was the celebrant of record.

Hmmm.. interesting. I grew up Pentecostal, earned a bachelors at an Evangelical college, MA at a state Univ, then became Catholic. Sorta the opposite direction.

I had no problems with the Catholicism. But Bonnie has strong feelings about women's ordination. We debated doing the split/alternating thing, but I never liked that kind of solution (don't like hyphenated last names, either). So, we went Protestant.
