Good day Guys,
I have been reading some really old information on bodybuilding, articles from the 60's and 70's. Some of them talk about the body's semmetry and how you certain body parts should have certain measurements. Do these measurements still apply, and what are they exactly? All I know is that the calf and the bicep should be same, if that is correct to begin with. If anyone can offer some information, it will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Ashley

goldwave,

The calf and bicep should be the same size? Why? I have never heard of this before.

I too am new to this concept. From my understanding, there is a formula used so that every muscle in the body matches. By doing this, we can eliminate the "chop stick" legs and calfs.
If you find any info about it, pls do share, because I think its a very intresting topic.

thinking about it now, my bicep flexed is almost the same size as my calf flexed. I'm guessing that's a good thing since it shows that i'm working both my upper and lower body equally.

please, if u find any more info, please post.

Weird. My bicep is no where near the same size as my calf... its A LOT smaller. I guess I'm doing something wrong?

Actually, I think your upper arm, calves, and neck are supposed to be the same size in the Greek view of the perfect human proportions.
