Assuming you don't weigh 400 pounds, I'd say you're pretty strong.

well your squat needs alot of work.. because the squat/bench ratio is off a bit... i noticed a pattern usually a person can squat double there bench if they work them the same..

Can you really military press 255 at a bodyweight of 185 ?? I find that hard to believe.

He's worried because mine's bigger.

I'd say that compared to most guys here or at Men's Health, you're pretty strong.

However, at a forum like RuggedMag... not quite so much (you'd fall in the middle of the pack of regulars).

I don't know about that. Most people don't squat twice as much as they bench. Its all about leverages and stuff. I consider my bench to be pretty crappy and my squat decent but its not double the bench.

this reminds me of the thread on MH forum about "dropping weights" that was bumped so frequently. didn't that guy have some un-godly amount he was military pressing? if only the search function worked at MH.

ADC - great numbers in my opinion.

That was JP's buddy, CBass. I think he was pressing 120's and dropping them. Caused quite a stir.

if those really are your numbers, then they are mighty impressive. i think i need the following to consider myself strong:

squat & dead 405
bench 315
OH press 225

i haven't done either yet.

but since you were wondering...a simple way to know how you stack up against others in your weight class, is to get in a powerlifting competition.

there once was a man named dice
who looked like fonzie on steroids
blah blah blah
blah blah blah
my big black foot up yo white ass

(long time since i saw that snl skit, so i may have messed up some of the words)

Good memory, Oldguy! Jeez, what're you, part elephant or something?

That military does seem a bit out of proportion, but I do remember (before the first of my four shoulder surgeries) doing 225 on seated military at 160 lbs, so.... Maybe, maybe not. As others have stated, if those are you numbers, you're not doing to bad.

Hey, let's keep those comments in the CE forum, where they belong.

My first thought on reading this post was also that it was the return of Cbass007 of the "throwing 120-lb dumbbells" fame as well.

But as I recall, that dude would be quite certain he's extremely strong . . . and I also seem to recall that when questioned about the veracity of his dumbbell press claims, he stated he was doing 120-lb dumbbells for reps (I think 8 was the number).

Like you don't know those are good numbers.

Have you ever seen anyone else in your gym or anywhere else for that matter squat 5 plates on each side?

And anytime you need more than 6 plates to do any of those lifts, I don't think you need to worry about bringing any of them up

Those look like strength standards for powerlifting for the 180-205 lb. weigth category.
