my motivation right now is looking back at my basketball season and being personally disappointed in my performance. i didn't lift during the season so i stayed thin and lanky instead of actually trying to make myself somewhat of a physical presence either in the 3 or 4 spot. yea, i had a decent season-averaged 3ppg, 3 or 4 assists per game, was one of, if not the best defenders on the team, but i was very disappointed in my lack of consistency in rebounding. i'd have games where i'd grab 12 boards or 4 in just a minute. i'd have times where i'd get the defensive board start the fast break and follow it up with an offensive board and put back. but, there was also times when i didn't have a rebound all game or only had 1 or 2. try having only 1 or 2 rebounds in a game when last year you averaged about 15.
that's my motivation right now. i learned a lot about the game and i learned that right now, i gotta eat right and start working on my finesse skills as i'll probably be trying out for guard next year.
another one of my motivations right now is the game i love- BASEBALL. *smiles and thinks of how anxious he is for practice at 3* (note: it's quarter to six in the morning ) i know that i can make varsity or at least see some varsity time. now, i'm a perfectionist-if i know i can do something and i don't do it-i'll go crazy. so, right now, i'm working as hard as i can in the weight room, on the field and in the classroom (hey gotta get the work done before you go play ) so i can work on my current goal.
of course, i'm sure that for every1 here, there's a certain person or even noone in particular that you want to impress. a special some1, coaches, friends, family, etc. so, that's always good motivation
