Just been given a new program for the next 6 weeks, and today is leg day. However barbell lunges are one of the exercises I have to do, bu I have no idea of the correct form, and can't find any animations on the web.

Do you do them with the bar on your shoulders? And how far forward do you step?

Cheers.

Start off light maybe even with just a broomstick or un-loaded bar. BB lunges raise your center-of-gravity and balance is much more difficult than the dumbell version.

Good luck!

Agree but I actually found BB easier than DB because tyhe barbell acted as a balancer. Though that may be also from doing a lot of hold the hockey stcik on your shoulder type drills when I was a kid.
