Hello all,

I started BOM intermediate and and getting ready to start week 8. I decided to go ahead and max out on some of my lifts before starting week 8 just to check progress, and I am severely WEAK! I feel like all of my hard work has been lost in since starting the routine. Has anyone else experience this? I feel like I am right back at square 1. I am so pissed.

So you finished phase I? Don't be stressed...you're not even going to hit strength\power phases till III and IV. You'll start to pick up a little in II and then it'll all blast out on the last 2.

I'd be willing to be that you're only about 2 sessions down from being back where you were strength wise, but probibly have a better rounded body to achieve it.

I start Stage 2, Week 11 Monday. It's the first real chance to lift heavy. I'll get back to you at the end of next week.

MWE, based on Workouts A+B in week 11 I would say that I am already stronger than when I started. Since this is the first heavy lifting of the program I'm expecting some real gains. I think it's a good program, stick it out a few more weeks. Good Luck.

The first stages of the program might take a little strenght away but only to ensure that your strength is unilaterally equal. The second stage gives you a little hypertrophic boost before you get into the last two strength phases. Once you hit those your previous maxes will come back along with a new boost.
I did this program more than a year ago. When I finished it my bench went up 30lbs, my squat went up 35lbs, and my deads went up about 40lbs. Just to give you confidence in the remainder of the program.
