I want to introduce myself. I'm also a recent defector. The biggest reason is that I am primarily a lurker who enjoys soaking up as much knowledge as I can. When a place no longer has a breadth and depth of talent for me to learn from then it’s time to move on. I can read the tabloids and the crawl at the bottom of CNN if I want outlandish tales and repetitive information.
To put it simplistically if I'm the smartest guy in the room then it is time to change rooms. After lurking around I recognize many people whose opinion I’ve come to trust as knowledgeable. I look forward to getting back to learning.

Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Sorry to jump on the bandwagon but would like to bang in an introductory post also. I am currently based in England but have been in a bit slack in the training department for the last 2 years since my return from 1 1/2 years living in California. I hope that with my sport science experience I will be able to help others in the future as i have in the past (various user ID's) I will be posting soon for a routine that will seriously kick my ass (weight, measurements and current strengths will be included)
Until then, hello from England

My daughter is going to London for Study Abroad this fall... one of the Middlesex campuses. Looks like we'll go visit her in October. Any words of wisdom for us?
I think for personal development she can't go wrong by choosing to study abroad, I know from experience the confidence and self-assurance that she will gain from this gain only be of benefit.
In regards to London, I am not the greatest fan of big cities and as such haven't really done the toursity thing - can tell you that the stage shows are great and if this is not your type of thing there are plenty of pubs, clubs and bars around.

She's pretty well traveled but hasn't ever lived someplace else so she's really looking forward to it. She actually went off to college in CA and was back six weeks later (before school started)... home sick so we'll see how she does with London.
We also prefer to avoid the big cities and the more touristy things in most cases but, as far as pubs and bars, I'm there, baby!
If you don't mind, i'm going to jump on this bandwagon as well. I too am from the mens health forum (starbuxprincess) - but I don't post a whole lot. I just enjoy reading and learning, but there isn't much going on over there so I thought I'd come see where everyone has gone . I'm more of a lurker but I do enjoy reading everyone's posts.
One thing I will truly miss from the MH site is the thread about "Throwing Weights in the Gym" - I hope we have some humorous ones here as we go along as well!
