Does anyone here follow Alwyn Cosgrove's articles in Men's Fitness? He recommends a lot of combination type lifts, the "More bang for your buck" type training which I find extremely useful when trying to condense my training.I know he has a dvd out regarding this but does anyone else regularly include these types of lifts in their training?

I have been experimenting a lot lately with combining power snatches with overhead squats or overhead lunges and I really like the overall hit my body takes from doing these.Power, balance, flexibility all in one exercise.

Has anyone else found similar exercises productive?

Matt,

I like those workouts, too. Of course, I'm the one putting them in the mag, so maybe I don't count. But Alwyn frequents this board so maybe he'll chime in himself and enlighten us with some thoughts.

I love combinations and hybrids. They not only give you more bang for the buck but also keep things from getting stale.
