What can I put in my coffee? and other TNT questions
Is half and half okay or does it need to be cream? If cream, does that mean heavy whipping cream?
I plan to follow the TNT advanced workouts 3 days per week and interval training 3 days per week (treadmill, stair gauntlet and bootcamp/drill class at my gym). On Interval only days should I still follow the pre/post workout shake and follow up shake (or other fat burning meal) within the hour or is this just for lifting days?
Has anyone tried the NEXGEN muffins? How are they?
I know they say not to be afraid of fat but I am. I haven't eaten a real egg or piece of bacon or hunk of cheese or handful of nuts since i tried Atkins 8 years ago. I just remember those kinds of foods making me feel disgusting. Can someone please reassure me that I will not feel like or start to look like Jabba The Hut.
Butternut squash OK or starchy?
Last but not least--I am a shaker not a blender does Nitrean dissolve well or need to be blended?
As always your sage advice and kind words are much appreciated.

I use half and half. In the amount of H&H that I use, there are very few carbs. Plus, Starbucks, etc. has H&H, but no cream. Cream is unworkable.

I only do them on lifting days. Sometimes not even then if I've eaten recently.

It might take you a bit to get mentally used to it, but most people will.

Nope. Sorry. Zucchini, spaghetti squash, those flying saucers, chayote, and crookneck/yellow summer squash are good though.

Hi Nicole!
Here's my experience with TNT.
The workout shake is for lifting days only; however, sometimes I did a shake on non-workout days at whatever time just to up my protein intake, if it was necessary (usually not).
The NEXGEN muffins are always sold out, so nobody seems to have ever tried them!
I wasn't afraid of fat and still am not; however, I didn't go crazy on bacon and cheese and butter. Even though you aren't counting calories, you essentially are. Low-carb is sorta self-regulating because protein/fat keeps you more satiated; however, there are those who still can eat and eat and eat! Sometimes I am one of those people. Especially when I got very close to my goal, calories did matter. Now, that I have added carbs back in (around 100g a day), I definitely track everything. For the first 4 months, no tracking whatsoever. I lost average of 1 lb a week (though there were several weeks with no loss whatsoever).
Nitrean is AWESOME! BUT, only blended, in my opinion. I do not like it when it's only shaken. But, I'm so picky on my shakes, so it may not matter to you. It definitely blends really well, even when shaken, but it tastes sooooo much better when blended with a few ice cubes. Good investment. Now, I have my shakes with 1/2 frozen banana and PB and it is even better!
I plan to start September 1 when I am back home. (I take a 2 month vacation with my son to my inlaws house in Michigan and they cook for us --very nice but hard to adhere to any sort of diet when you got good ol' midwestern folks frying french fries and serving hash brown.) Moderation has been the game I've been playing then will come back full force in September. I want to be prepared to succeed so an planning menus now.
It sounds like you both were careful not to gorge yourself but did enjoy yourself. Thanks exactly what I am looking for. I plan to start a log when I get back to it. The women's challenge for me will really be September-December. I'll keep you posted on my progress.

as an employee at the bucks (or should it be ) we do have heavy whipping cream that we use to make the whipped cream. You can ask them if you can use some for your coffee. Some may charge 30cents extra, but probably not as it's a small amount and if you don't have to steam it.
of course, the carb difference between the two is small (only a few grams difference), and if you're not putting 1/2 a cup in your coffee, you should be fine.

I heard that sometimes the 'Bucks adds sweetened syrups to the heavy cream before they put it in the CO2 charger to make it sweeter.
co2= whippets aka huffing. i had a teenager come in one time saying that they worked in a restaurant and they ran out of them, and wondered if i'd sell them some. ummmm.... yea right.

It is nitrous oxide. Carbon dioxide won't get you high or whip cream. Works wonders in a seltzer charger though.
