Default What's a typical day like ???

Hello everyone, how are things

Well I am on week 2 of this diet and I can honestly say that its not as hard as others I have seen. One of the things that did have me a little concerned where the amounts of meat and fat that I was taking. I don't think I have ever had so much of either before, I guess I will try and cut back on the beef and try and get more variety with fish, fowl and lamb. As far as fat goes... I just dont know, I am due for a physical in two months time, so if my numbers are not good, I will revise.

That being said, I am curious to know what is a normal day for all of you, as far as what you eat throughout the day. Mine usually starts with:

-Breakfast: 3eggs, olive oil, cheese, and bacon or sausage.
-Snack: usually a cheese low fat cheese stick or pork rines
-Lunch: is usually a beef dish or fish depending on whats in the buffet line at work (free food at work) sometimes chicken with a green salad
-Dinner: tuna salad with a can of vegg-all, for now, will be going out grocerie shopping soon.

So as you can see my food is not so bad, but it could definetly be better, and since I am running low on groceries I would appreciate some ideas as to what to get on my next trip to the store.
I think the book would benefit greatly also if it came with a shopping list

Don't be afraid of fat....in fact, you should have a pretty high fat intake on TNT. I would switch to full-fat cheese and add in some nuts (I eat almonds). Also, watch it at work if you don't know how they made those meat dishes...there could be hidden carbs.

My grocery list usually consists of:

eggs
cheese
sour cream
ground beef
bacon
chicken
other beef
pork
veggies (broccoli, peppers, onion, tomatoes, etc)
butter
olive oil
fish and shellfish
canned tomatoes
taco seasoning spices
lettuce
salad dressings (watch the sugar/carb count)
smoked sausage
sauerkraut

Hey there SR,
glad to hear you're doing well on TNT. Just thought I would report a typical diet day for me(on a workday)

700am 2scoops protein powder/1tbs fish oil/2tbs flax seeds/greens supp
12pm usually chicken caesar or greek salad
4pm snack usually some cheese/ lean meat
700pm fish or chicken(dark meat) with some veggies
1100pm protein shake if i'm hungry

In a pinch if i have lunch with coworkers and they choose a fast food place, I usually end up getting a side salad and a small cheeseburger. I throw away the bun and just plop that burger on ton of the greens. Hope this helps!

wow, thanx for the replies guys, it doesn't look as complicated as I thought. My wife loves fajitas, and she has a great recepie with chipotle peppers, so I think we'll be doing that as a staple for lunch/dinner.
I just found a great deal on fresh fish fillets at Sams club, along with some great wild caught salmon, so it looks like it'll be a seafood dinner for the week

You'll need to ditch the tortilla with the fajitas and go with the meat and veggies only -- at least for plan A.
