TNT RecipesIf you have a yummy recipe that fits in with the Campbell and Voleck's new book, The TNT Diet, put it here. Or get some recipe ideas if you are bored with eating boiled eggs and tuna out of a can!
I hope this isn't a breach of etiquette, posting a request instead of a recipe. I have been on Plan A for almost a week and I have already had enough of eggs :-) I really like eggs, but everyday is getting old. Breakfast is the hardest to deal with on this plan for me. This morning I had some chopped up chicken mango sausage, spinach, mushrooms, mixed with 2 scrambled eggs and a little cheese on top. I realize the mango sausage is pushing it, 8g Carb and 7g sugar, but they taste really good :-) I have had this for breakfast the last few days. I would love to hear what others are doing for breakfast. Also, is eggs everyday healthy for you?
This one is really versatile. We have cut it into fourths and made egg & bacon "mc muffin" type breakfast sandwiches. This morning, we added some trueprotein.com orange cream flavoring to the flax bread ingredients prior to cooking (and omitted the cinnamon). We sliced each muffin into 4 slices. Then we whipped up 1/2 cup of heavy whipping cream with more of the orange cream flavoring added. We spread about a Tbsp of the whipped cream on each slice. Turned out AWESOME. They tasted really similar to the pillsbury orange breakfast rolls.
we bought 2 lbs of ground pork at the grocery store then added all the seasonings & shaped it into 17 patties. Delicious!!
The pork sausage patty would be great, by the way, on the flax muffin. We discovered you can also cook a scrambled egg in a coffee cup in the microwave. Just scramble it up in a cup & microwave on high for about 30-60 seconds. It'll puff up quite a bit, but deflate once you take it out. Just slide it out of the cup and put it between two slices of the flax muffin. Pretty tasty stuff.

Waitress: ...or Lobster Thermidor a Crevette with a mornay sauce served in a Provencale manner with shallots and aubergines garnished with truffle pate, brandy and with a fried egg on top and eggs.

Waitress: Well, there's eggs spam sausage and eggs, that's not got much egg in it.
Wife: I don't want ANY eggs!
Man: Why can't she have spam bacon eggs and sausage?
Wife: THAT'S got eggs in it!
Man: Hasn't got as much egg in it as eggs spam sausage and eggs, has it?
Vikings: Eggs eggs eggs eggs...
Wife: Could you do the spam bacon eggs and sausage without the eggs then?
Waitress: Urgghh!
Wife: What do you mean 'Urgghh'? I don't like eggs!
Vikings: Lovely eggs! Wonderful eggs!
Waitress: Shut up!
Vikings: Lovely eggs! Wonderful eggs!
Waitress: Shut up! Bloody Vikings! You can't have spam bacon eggs and sausage without the eggs.
Wife: I don't like eggs!
Man: Sshh, dear, don't cause a fuss. I'll have your eggs. I love em. I'm having eggs eggs eggs eggs eggs eggs eggs baked beans eggs eggs eggs and eggs!
lol, that is the way i feel. Good thing I like eggs. Usual breakfast for me has been, a sausage link cut up (either italian or chicken andouille), a couple mushrooms, a hand full of torn up spinach, scrambled with 2 eggs. Have that most mornings. Basically 2 eggs scrambled with whatever I can find, lately I have been throwing some ocra in with the eggs, pretty good.
I must say, one of the biggest things holding me back from doing TNT is breakfast. I am a dyed-in-the-wool cereal eater for breakfast ... weetabix, kashi or oatmeal. I really think I would have a problem sticking with the plan.

I followed this recipe except used choco instead of vanilla pp....but mine aren't very good. Any suggestions to make these better? I feel like I wasted so much time and ingredients and they are terrible.
I used Splenda packets (that is the only non-baking one that my store had) and I used choco pp, and used everything else the same as recipe.
They are dry and just don't taste right?? Did I cook too long? mix too much? they are fluffy so I thought I did the folding ok? And as for "a break from salty" I actually found them quite salty???
Nik~
This morning I had a few sausage links, a big protien drink, some string cheese, and a serving of nuts (unsalted) - here come the jokes. I think tomorrow I might go with a hamburger or two - a drink, and some cheese. I officially start the TNT diet on Monday, but I've been dropping more and more carbs out since the 1st of the year so eliminating them all wont be such a shock. Not sure if that's a good idea but it seemed to make sense to me. I'm probably well below 100 carbs a day right now. Just had a giant Arbys Roast beef sandwhich- threw the buns in the trash can.

opps, this is an old thread - I wasn't paying attention
