Default aspartame

I know TNT is not Atkins, but Atkins said aspartame would slow weight loss, anyone know if that is true?

Aspertame affects/spikes your blood sugar levels.

The two artificial sweetners he recommends is:

Saccharin
Splenda

I don't know if he knew about Stevia at the time.

Lab study ties artificial sweetener to weight gain - Diet and nutrition - MSNBC.com

The article is about saccharin but notes the researchers speculate that aspartame and other artificial sweeteners could have a similar effect. That, of course, is not scientific proof (or close to it), but the point is there is more to how these sweeteners affect weight than the number of calories they contain (or don't contain).

No, the point is there is more to how saccharin affects weight. You can't apply it to across the board anymore than you can use studies on mice to determine how it will affect humans. Oh, wait, the study was done on mice.

Wow, I drink diet Pepsi all the time and it's loaded with aspartame. But I hear so much about Aspartame, it's hard to know what to believe anymore.
