Default TNT Plan A Tacos

I made this for dinner, and it was absolutely wonderful. I stuffed mine with ground beef, chopped romaine, sour cream and pico de gallo. I thought about sprinkling with cheese but honestly didn't need it...

Do you have to scarf it down real fast? Just wondering because you would think that the hot ground beef would melt through the bottom of the cheese taco shell.

I'm going to have to try this out...very soon.

Whenever I make tacos my meat has cooled slightly, but when i made these last I spread a layer of sour cream first as a "barrier". A very tasty barrier at that...If you research chupaquesa on the internet you can find some neat uses for this "shell" People shape them into edile bowls for salad. Im thinking it would be a tasty way to make chicken quesadillas.

You can also try wrapping the meat into a romaine leaf. This works pretty well.

Yes it does one of my favorite meals are the lettuce wraps at PF Changs( although prob made with too much sugar for plan A). I recently had a burger at Red Robin that was wrapped in 4 leafs of iceberg, they kind of overlapped each other too hold the burger together really good. The other great thing about this cheese shell is that they can be made smaller to use as a chip or cracker. Great for all of those not wanting to eat starches at a Super Bowl party- no offense cynic but its hard to dip lettuce in queso

You gotta use the thicker end that attaches to the stalk, then you're golden!

I just made some small ones with a cheddar/jack/asadero/queso shredded blend we have and used them for chips. They aren't strong enough to scoop my wife's guacamole, but they're stiff enough to hold up once you spoon some on. Worked great.

I made these for my wife and I last night for supper. We wrapped them in cabbage leaves. Delicious!
