Default 1000 yards!

I swam 1000 yards today without any breaks. For whatever reason it was surprisingly easy. I could have kept going, but I honestly was worried if I would be able to move when I stopped. When I did 400 yards the other day I was out of breath, and I didn't know how 1000 yards would treat me. I guess all of those TI drills finally sunk in. This may not be a big deal to some, but I couldn't swim a 25 yard lap less then 2 months ago, so this was huge for me.

W00t! That's awsum.

I suck at swimming, and much more than 50yds in normal crawl is unpossible for me. This gives me hope for when I eventually get back to trying those drills and whatnot.

Right on! My experience is similar. I struggled with 200 meters, then jumped to 800 & 1400 without much problem. Jumps like that scare me and I want to make sure I don't get an overuse injury like swimmer's shoulder, so I backed back down for a bit. I like slow progressions for safety reasons. But it sure feels good to smash through barriers!
