I've just cut back on my swimming some because other stuff isn't hurting at the moment! I still swim 2x/wk but I was doing it everyday before when my back was bothering me. It's just a matter of time before I'll be back in the pool everyday because I'm injured or something. Growing older ain't what it's cracked up to be.. but it's better than the alternative!

Default October Training

Okay so here it is in October, I have been doing stuff with the kid, i.e school prep and settling in and work, so my training got away from me...so starting fresh again.

October 1st 3,600 meters.

During the workout I realize that when I breath to the right side, my head is turning way to far out of the water, which is causing my left arm to crossover a bit. Need to correct that little problem immediately.

October 4th 3100 meters

Last nights workout concentrated on sprinting, with little rest..broken 200's, broken 100's. To make things more interesting, after the sprinting sets, came a kick set. OUCH!!!!

Total Oct meterage 6600 meters.

October 7 3175 meters
October 8 4100 meters

Monday the 8th was a messed up workout...72 X 50 on 45 seconds......total main set was 3600 meters. At the end, my coach, who also swims with us, admittted to us that the set was only supposed to be half of the distance (1800 meters) he was thinking 72 lengths so 36 X 50, but it came out as 72 X 50. (OUCH!!)

Oddly enough there was a National swimmer from Austrailia swimming in the lane beside us, and even he thought the set was insane, basically he said we were nuts to to that set..LOL!

Total October 13,875

October 10 4000

Did not feel very good in the water, felt very low and that I was just plowing my way through. I tried different things to get that High in the water feeling, but I could not sustain it through the whole main set. Oh well, this is why we train and practice right?

October total 17875

Thanks for letting me post here guys, it keeps me honest.
