Default June Swimming Challenge

Thought I'd go ahead and set up a thread for the June challenge.

Now I know we have some swimmers in here. Just lay down your total meter swim goal for June and track it here.

I can't keep a summary I'm not a moderator but maybe one of our mods will helps us out here.

I was trying to read Newman's challenge stuff in the other area and my eyes glazed over...

What are you suggesting needs to be done? I don't really ever participate in challenges 'cause I'm pretty much self-motivated (and self-forgiving when not ) but, if there's interest, I'll try to help.

Now that I have really looked at the running challenge thread..I guess really there's nothing special to do here. I thought a mod was probably keeping a "tally" at the top of the thread. But it appears that folks are just doing what we did in the swimming challenge thread. Share your swimming goal for June and keep everyone posted in the thread..

So thanks, never mind.:p

Course we'd love to have you jump in here and share your June goal. Swiminto and I were pretty much the only ones that did it for May. We enjoyed harrassing each other the whole month. Kinda enjoyable. Jump in.

All that said, my new June goal is 30,000m. I never thought I'd be setting one that high. But I almost did that much in May. So there it is.

Hey Jimbo - thanks for setting this up, I've gotten a little overwhelmed with the running and cycling ones. Mind if I jump in here???

I'll set my goal at 15,000m.

Umm you guys do realize that the rest of the world is in Metric, right? I mean I can convert to yards, if it makes it easier for you guys. :p

June Goal 60,000 meters. Blast it, I won't have a vacation week in there, to swim everyday. Plus I have a big work project due..and need to watch the shoulders, but I will give it a shot.

It is official then:

June goal 60,000 meters, oh sorry....65,616.797 yards

3,000 yads??? That's less than two miles! You gonna do that while pulling

one boat full of kids for each year in your age???

When anyone in the rest of the world can beat even our Salvation Army, I'll start to worry. Until then, it's yards.

I want to swim 10,000 meters.

The pool I swim in is 25 meters.

That's 400 laps in 29 days now. I can do that.
