How fun is THAT seeing Mourning & Shaq together on the court- and losing

Just hoping Detroit stays healthy for the upcoming series with the Spurs.

and for the record - Q, I think the Spurs are gonna take Detroit this year.

I don't think the Spurs have what it takes, Rasheed will throw Duncan off of his game.

DETROIT BASKETBALL

No hugs yet, but the Pistons did whatever they wanted to last night. As long as they stay healthy, they'll keep winning. The Heat just don't match up. The one thing that surprised me was Eddie Jones' production. I think they'll do a better job of locking him down tomorrow.

I am more impressed with Carlos Arroyo every game. He had 7 assists in 10 minutes last night.

Great peformance last night by the stones. Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe they had 6 players scoring in double-digits...now thats solid basketball. I think Detroit has this series in the bag...they just have a lot more expiernce than Miami and that is gonna carry them in this series.

They did.

When the Pistons move the ball and defend like they did last night, nobody can beat them. It's too bad they don't seem to bring it every night like that. I have a feeling they won't have any trouble focusing over the rest of the series. They seem to thrive in big moments- especially on the road.

The Pistons looked like a high school team tonight, at best. When Shaq and Mourning can be said to play at a more mature level you know your in trouble.

Now it's likely Duncan and Ginobli will have to trounce them.

The frustrating part is that it was D. Jones and Haslem and Butler that were beating them. I feel like they'll come back and win Game 6, but for the 1st time, I don't know if they'll be able to win the series.

This sucks.

It sure was. Miami is basiclly screwed with no D-Wade and Shaq at 60%. Should still be a good game 7...all games 7s are fun to watch!

Short Answer: Yes.

That's as far as I'll elaborate. The Spurs and Pistons are nearly identical teams, talent-wise.

D Wade will be playing tonight. Whether this hurts or helps them I don't know.

The Pistons always seem flat the next game after a big win so I hope they reverse that trend.

A Detroit-SA series would be more fun to watch.

...and is Q waiting for a Spurs thread to get involved??

Without D. Wade, the Heat couldn't even make passes to one another. Now that he's playing this kind of brings some life to the team and fans (since they're home) but is he going to be effective?

I doubt the Spurs make it if Joe Johnson is healthy.

DEEETROIT BAKETBALL!!

I think that Game 7 was just what the Pistons needed going into the Finals.

Bring on Manu and his "stars in the night sky."

It's nice to see all of the Pistons fans coming out of the woodwork. We should have been talking NBA all season long!

I was raised in the Detroit suburbs so I have been going to Pistons game ever since I was a yougin. I was actually at Joe Dumars' last game and remember seeing Bill Lambeer play some. So I am not jumping on the championship bandwagon...I have been a fan for life. It's just easier to root for a team when they are doing well....hehe. I moved to Chicago for school and root for the Cubs, but I really never like the Tigers too much anyways.

Speaking of Laimbeer, I was at the game that they retired his jersey. Good stuff!

I miss George Blahah(sp?) and Bill Laimbeer calling games for the pistons. Blahah was great and Laimbeer really told it how it is. I heard he's a bit of a jackass in person, but I always liked him as a player...bad boy image and all.
