how convenient for mr. barry bonds to consider retirement just as major league baseball implements it's steroid policy. he is considering
retirement because he is tired! if he does, he will retire just short
hort of the home run record and we cannot see his numbers dimish due to age and drugs. and we will forget about it. interesting.

I don't think Bond's is going to retire. He's too close to the ultimate record to just go away. My prediction is he comes back later this year or the next after the steroids are out of his system. He'll be smaller and not as feared a hitter, but he'll hang on until he can get the record.
