Okay. I sit here, depressed about yet another Steelers loss in the AFC Championship game (yes, I know it's Tuesday already, and yes, I know it's only football, and yes, just STFU already

). I am reminded of a poll that was posted on a website in the Pittsburgh area the last time the Steelers lost. I thought I would throw the question out to you all, to see what you thought. (I would've created an actual poll, but they're disabled in the Sports Discussion Forum).
Anyway, if you had your choice, which would you choose:
1. Your favorite team plays consistently well each year, but is eliminated short of the Super Bowl every year.
2. Your favorite team typically plays awful football for 11 out of every 12 years. But that one year, they have a good season, and end up victorious in the Super Bowl.
For me, I don't know. Right now I'd vote for number 2, but that's just because I'm still bitter. Once my head clears, I don't know which I would choose (I'll let you know when I get there).
So, what do you think? A successful regular season team that stinks it up in the playoffs, or a team that can find the magic once every dozen years, but can' find their way out of a paper bag for the other 11?
