LOL! I've read about this, although I haven't been following it. I think that the '76-'77 Habs were probably the finest NHL team of all time. There are 9 Hall of Famers on that club. They lost 8 games all season and oly twice in the playoffs. That was also the year that I watched sports (Habs, Expos, and the Montreal Alouettes ).

Good club, but they were probably better in '75 with the addition of Reggie Leach. But intimidation was a big part of their game. '76-'77 Habs had an unmatched depth of talent.

It was amazing skill for the Habs, simple brute strength for the Flyers. Interesting note: Dave Schultz is now a local radio personality here in Harrisburg, PA.
