I dont know if any of you guys ever watch it, but the Grand Final for the aussie rules football competition is on this weekend, it'll probably be late Friday night for most of you, no idea about broadcasting or whatever but I do know a couple of US people who watch the games.
The Brisbane Lions are set to equal a 70 year record and win the premiership for a 4th consecutive year. Port Adelaide have finished top of the ladder in the home and away season the last 3 years but this is the first time they've performed well in the finals series.
Personally I think Brisbane will romp it in, they have some of the most suberb athletes ever to play the game, and with 4 years at the top they're experienced and know how to get the job done. The thing I've always admired about that time is they're relentless, especially in finals. Other teams can match them for 3 1/2 quarters, but drop their game for even 10 minutes and the Lions pounce and make them pay.
Its a great game to watch for strength, courage, athleticsm and skill, also the fitness of some of these guys are incredible. You've got some guys who will only walk for about 10-15 mins of a 100+ minute game, spend about half of it jogging and the rest sprinting, its incredible.
Anyway, just a suggestion if someone wants to check out something different this week, it should be an entertaining match even if you dont know the rules of the game.
