Hey Bill! Not following...

But if you're talking about Rasheed Wallace, I was ready for him to leave the Pistons 2 years ago. Hopefully, he can start ruining Celtics seasons with untimely technical fouls and mailing in playoff games!

Thanks for the love.....hopefully the change of scenery and playing with a group of players that won't tolereate that kind of behavior changes him for the better.

The Celtics won't tolerate that behavior? The Celtics led the league in techs the last couple years. I would think that being around complainers like KG, Perk, and Pierce would ensure that he leads the league in technicals again. The problem with Sheed is that his teammates like him so much that they don't step up and tell him to stop being a knucklehead.

The only guys that have ever been able to keep him in check were Larry Brown and Ben Wallace. For whatever reason, he didn't respect Flip Saunders (who is a really good coach), and it all unraveled from there. Once Chauncey was traded, he gave up on the Pistons. Yeah... 2 games into last season, he stopped trying. Awesome! KG might be the guy to reel him in and keep him motivated, but he is nearly as crazy as Sheed is, so that may be a combustible combo. They should be interesting to watch, at the least!

He should be motivated, though. When he's motivated and getting techs, he turns into Super Sheed. When he's unmotivated, he gets techs because he's just not a happy guy.

Sheed as a motivated 4th or 5th option is what you want, and it looks like that's what you have. He doesn't want to be the leader, and doesn't want to be the leading scorer. He wants to shoot 3's and talk trash. At his best, it's awesome to watch.

At his worst, he refuses to go into the post (even though he can score on anybody), breaks plays on both ends of the court because he doesn't like the coach, gets technicals at critical moments in the game, and drives the fans crazy.

In summary, Sheed is a complicated dude that will either bring you a ring or let you down at a critical juncture. There really is no middle ground with him.
