Default MLB.TV anyone?

I'm considering purchasing the MLB.TV premium package this season. It will allow me to watch just about any major league game online throughout the season. Has anyone had any experience with it? Did you like it? Is it worth it? I would love to be able to catch a Twins game at any time. (Except at work. MLB.com is blocked. )

I think Nick got it one year. I got the MLB ticket on DirectTV one year and found that it was just too much baseball for me. All I really wanted to watch was my home town team and all but about 3 games were available without having to pay anything additional.

Yeah, I had it at school and if you have the money it's definitely worth it. The streams are even in HD, so if you have the capacity (hardwire to watch) it's going to be very good quality.

I don't know if you have cable/satellite or not, but if you have the MLB Network, it may not be necessary though. MLBN is doing a Red-Zone Channel style show every night of the week once the season starts in which they'll go back and forth from all of the games that are on and show scoring situations, ninth innings, etc. I'm going to rely on that instead of the Extra Innings or MLBtv package. Unles, of course, I fall in love with the Extra Innings free preview and have to pull the trigger.

I was thinking of getting the basic package ($79 I think) but I was offered 2 months for $18 so thought i'd let the season start proper and give it a go.

I like the idea of being able to watch 5-10 min highlights, so I could follow the Mets each night when I get home. We get baseball today but at 1.5 hrs it's a bit too long to watch everyday.

Saw an advertised special of ESPN Insider and MLBTV premium (HD, choice of audio, etc) for $130 for the whole year. No idea what the regular price is.

I have purchased it the past 3 years...I had the premium one last year. It's definitely worth it for me, I just get it to watch Cardinal games and there is rarely one that isn't televised, plus the quality is very good.

I got the MLB Extra Innings package through cable a while ago, it was like $160 or so and there were alot of times that the game I wanted to watch wasn't being televised...so I dumped that for MLB.tv

At the beginning of last season they implemented a new video player and for the first couple weeks there were some issues with it not working correctly all the time, but it got straightened out before too long.

Thumbs down MLB.TV anyone?

Why bother when you root for the Pirates. Nothing changes except for the All Stars get progressively worse. Except with Freddy Sanchez representing the team this year.
