count me in the camp that despises start and parks and hates the fact that when a start and park runs the distance for the first and probably only time all year they luck into a win

You calling the 09 a 'start and park'? James Finch has run a limited program for at least 20 years and has had competitive cars at the bigger tracks. His cars used to carry the #51 before 'Days of Blunder' ruined that number forever.

Sure, he's not an actual part of a super team so therefore get fuck off the track.
We certainly should not have any team not owned by a super team run well, let alone have a shot at winning.
Let me clarify my statement:
James Finch parks the car for the prize money every single time that Brad Keselowski is not in the car. AKA: every race this year until now. He most likely had Hendrick equipment in the car and an order from Junior or Rick not to have Brad park it.
Next week if the 09 makes the show, it parks within 40 laps. You'll be there, you watch. Hell, bonus points if you can find a box score from a race earlier this year that the 09 car made where it wasn't parked early in the race.
He's a sleazeball and is a start-and-park owner now. He just got really fucking lucky the one damn time he ran a race this year, and that pisses me off. Not a dime of that prize money is going back into that team.

Sweet! I don't have to pick a new favorite driver until 2011!!!
Quote:
Martin to run full Sprint Cup season in 2010: Mark Martin will return to drive the #5 Chevy of Hendrick Motorsports for the entire 36-race NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season in 2010. It will be the 22nd full-time Cup campaign of Martin's career and his second with car owner Rick Hendrick. Last July, Martin signed a two-year contract with Hendrick Motorsports covering one full Sprint Cup season in 2009 and one part-time schedule of 26 events in 2010. The revised agreement was signed this week. "Week in and week out, Mark continues to be one of the best race car drivers in the world," Hendrick said. "He's already made an incredible contribution to Hendrick Motorsports, and our entire company is excited about running another full season and winning races with him in 2010." With his April 18 victory at Phoenix, Martin became just the fourth driver to record 400 top-10 finishes in Sprint Cup competition. It was his 36th career win in NASCAR's top series. "It means a lot to drive the #5 Chevy for Rick and for Hendrick Motorsports," said Martin, 50, of Batesville, Ark. "I'm in the best condition of my life, I'm recharged, and I'm motivated. Going to the racetrack every weekend is still really fun, and that's the key. There's more gas in my tank." Martin will continue to work alongside crew chief Alan Gustafson in 2010. Gustafson has led the #5 team since 2005, recording five wins and two berths in NASCAR's Chase for the Sprint Cup. The #5 team's sponsorship lineup for 2010 has not been determined.(HMS PR)(5-6-2009) Comment here

Never thought I'd see you so excited about a Hendick Chebby.

Fan of the driver, not of the owner. When Hendick allows Alan to put some stuff on Marks car that was destined for Jeffypoo or JJ's car, they do pretty good. Mark should have left Roush sooner than he did.
Hell, Kasey might retire before Mark does for real.

Change that to "Jimmie" and I'd say about 30 seconds.

Kyle Busch said it point-blank: "It's never Junior; it's always the crew chief."
Busch fired that opening volley of driver reaction Friday morning to Hendrick Motorsports' dismissal of Tony Eury Jr. as Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s crew chief on Thursday.
Asked about Eury's replacement, Lance McGrew, with whom Busch worked in the Nationwide Series at Hendrick in 2004, Busch expressed pity for McGrew.
"He's got his hands full, I guess, having to deal with what's going on," Busch said. "And if Junior doesn't run well, then he [McGrew] is going to be the 'problem' again."
Still, Busch said he understood the move to bolster the driver who replaced him at Hendrick last season, both because of Earnhardt's star power and Busch's salary issues.
"You've got to make the most popular driver in the sport competitive, so you gotta do what you gotta do, I guess," Busch said.
But Busch added, "He's the one who brought that crew chief on; he's the one who pulled so hard to bring Eury Jr. in [along with Earnhardt in his move from Dale Earnhardt Inc.].
"It looked like it was working there in the beginning," Busch continued, "and it just hasn't worked since the summer of last year, really. So, whatever makes them better, I guess."
