The league is very tight at the moment, I think a good the xmas period will be crucial.
We've had our best start for a long time, beating all three of our current rivals but draws against Stoke and Fulham are not good enough. I can take the defeat to Tottenham as they are a much better team than the league suggests.
Utd have still to play the other big three all at home so that's a worry.
Here to hoping our 19 year wait for another league title is over, especially as Man Utd are now only 1 behind our record.

I have no reason to dislike Liverpool. I've disliked Chelsea since the CL final, and I'm supposed to hate Arse, so I get that. But Liverpool seems like they're the pre-2004 Red Sox.
Yesterday was huge for United. Two point pickup on everyone else was possible. But Aston Villa was very VERY disciplined.
(I watched the United game instead of watching the Michigan-tOSU game)

With RVN out for a while and no Robinho it makes sense. I'm interested to see if he does in fact go, who United goes and gets to replace him. I think it's a given that Tevez is gone because of the way that he's been shoved to the bench and that he looks like crap when he gets PT, so United will have to go get a third forward/winger. Nani is going to be a good one, as is Danny Welbeck, but I don't think they wouldn't go after anyone.

Ninja's Madrid side once again made use of the trough ball and strong physical running of RVN, who played on the shoulder of the defense and spun into space well. Kingkop closed out the 90 minutes well and looked the more likely to score in extra time, before the last 10 minutes, were if truth be told, Madrid stepped it up a gear and only the woodwork stopped a late winner on two occasions.
Kingkop took much ribbing from his Brother and Girlfriend for getting beat to an American at our own sport. His game intelligence was there but the ability to convert that onto the video game area proved his undoing.

How much do CL tickets run? I've always wondered if soccer tickets are closer to football or baseball tickets in terms of average price.
Tickets through the official channels cost pretty similar to EPL. For Liverpool or Man Utd you're looking at £35 -38. Chelsea and especially Arsenal are more expensive, maybe £50-75 for a basic seat. There is a huge North/South divide.
Tickets are like gold dust though for champs league. It's pretty much you get in at ground level and each game is a pre-requisite for the next. Man Utd have a compulsorily ticket scheme for season tickets whereby you have to buy all games (near 70 games if they go through in all cups) or lose your season ticket - wait times at Liverpool are predicted at 20 yrs and about 10 at Utd so nobody wants to give up their seats. Bit like the Cowboys or red Sox I’m led to believe.
If you were to come and buy on the street for a league game (pool or utd) £60-80, for champs league ...£150-200…. Semi finals i.e pool Chelsea £800 (I’ve seen it being handed over).
The lesser English teams, Wigan/Bolton etc are pay on the door ~ £20, If I were a visitor I’d go to Aston Villa as you can get tickets easily and the atmosphere is pretty good. Go to Spain and particularly Italy and most times you'd pay on the door 20 - 30 euro for a normal game at a top club.
I'm not just saying this but a game against us or Utd is huge for the Spanish, particularly Liverpool at Barca.

I really have no clue, it's a very strange situation. Everyday we hear strong rumours about a new superstar and the old players chipping in with their 'inside' gossip.
It could go either way, loads of superstars in one go or a slow buiding over many years. No matter who they buy the gulf is massive between the top 4 (5 including villa) and the rest.
