Well now it's interesting. If Utd win both their games in hand they'll be a point clear at the top. Add into the mix that we play Everton next and I'm a more than a little worried.

Drawing against Stoke was terrible. Do you think that Rafa's tantrum was because of the stress that he's feeling? The draw obviously didn't help, as he was pissy afterwards, so do you think that he's feeling the pressure because of how close Man U is?

And after today, I feel comfortable saying that the Villa is a better team than both Chelsea and Arsenal. I could very conceivably see the top five going Man U/Liverpool/Villa/Arsenal/Chel sea

Rafa knows that it will take everything to finish top. What he said was actually spot on, Man Utd have had everything their way for years; nobody would speak up against Sir Alex. There's also no getting away from the fact that Rafa has done what he set out to do. Looking at today's game I'm pretty confident that both the disallowed goal from the clever corner and the handball would have be ruled differently had Rafa not said what he did... more than ever it’s the ref who is under the spotlight.

It was Fergie who started all this saying we were nevous,the general consensus over here is that Rafa may have played a masterstroke in replying. As Guillem Balague wrote " Rafa Benitez is not some novice manager confronted with a situation like this for the first time in his career. When Ferguson tries to attack someone for their inexperience, he would do well to remember that there is a world outside the Premier League and I would wager that two Spanish league titles and a Champions League trophy have taught Benitez a thing or two about coping with pressure".

Mind games aside, the problem is Man Utd are by far the best team in the league which ever way you slice it.

As for Villa, they have a great team but not necessarily a great squad, a few injuries may be their undoing. I personally hope they make the top four, it would be a refreshing change….they’d get mauled in the champions league though.

I really thought that Chelsea was going to keep it tied. Damn. That Lampard call hurt. (which was terrible)

I was actually surprised to see Rafa the Pansy send people forward. A draw would have been the best case scenario, but if Chelsea won, they're not really that good and Man U had no more games against them, and Liverpool is going to choke again and the last match between the two is at Old Trafford.

Oh well. Still in control.

Nick, I have just got back from 'The Riverside' it was a nightmare and Middlesbrough is a very ugly place.

Don't know what to say but the league is now over. 19 to 19 titles. Very depressing to say it's all over and we're only in feb.
