I am so excited for the playoffs this year. Anybody got any picks? The entire western conference race is going to be great basketball, and as a huge Celtics fan I am excited to watch the east as well.
I am hoping things go as planned and we get a fun Celtics vs Pistons semi-final in the east. The west is going to be very entertaining to watch. Way too much talent in the west!
I still can't believe Tim Duncan hit that 3. Like..., what the hell?!?! As much as I don't like them I have to give them huge amount of credit for being such a great team at winning. I hope the Celtics don't have to play them in the finals!
Sheeeesh! I've been wondering where you've been Q! You need to check in here more often! I can't fight the Spurs fight here alone!
REAL life gets in the way too much.... dammit! You know, if the Spurs can't do it, I'll be pulling for the guys in green. Garnett is one amazing dude and I'd love to see him get a ring.
BTW, have you noticed that on those commercials where they split the face of two different guys saying the same thing... they blink simultaneously! WOW!
San Antonio has to have something - so a basketball team is good for the city.
No argument there. Actually, I was raised in Dallas and HATE having to go back for more than 24 hours. I lived in Houston for six weeks and was VERY HAPPY to get out. I was a Rockets fan at one time but, when I lived in Dallas, the pro team was the Dallas Chaparrals and they played at the SMU facility which wasn't too far from where I lived. The Chaparrals were ABA and later became the Spurs so I guess I've been a loyal fan for some time.
Also, in my above post, I said "NO 2" but the important part was really DALLAS -2!
why you gotta hate? the Chaparrals - wow, we are going back a couple of decades ...
... because my FAMILY all still lives in Big D and it's nice to put them all in their place with a little humility! If Avery doesn't WIN IT ALL this season, which is looking HIGHLY UNLIKELY, I think he's gone!
I have no idea what is up with Detroit, especially their offense. Philly is a good young team, but clearly this series should belong to Detroit. I still think Detroit will win the series.
It looks like the Piston starters have been real cold in scoring and they are not using their bench any where near as much as they did in the regular season.
Well, the Spurs pissed away their chance today. I still think they've got the series. They've got too much in 'em to lose three more.
You can't ignore the Suns' part of all this. They played like they EXPECTED THEMSELVES to play all along but I think the first game blew their psyche. They made good adjustments and finally regained it but I think that'll be their last W this season.
The Pistons are finally getting back on track. My theory is that extended bench play down the stretch of the regular season took the starters out of rhythm to start the playoffs. They're warmed up now though.
