JKidd and Malik Allen to Dallas for Devin Harris, Jerry Stackhouse, DeSagana Diop, Devean George, Maurice Ager, $3 mil, this year's first round pick, and a first rounder in 2010.
As a Nets fan, I'll take a younger point guard, a big man (even if only for this season), and two future first round picks for a player who doesn't want to be here. I love Kidd and all he's done in his years in NJ, but this seems like a no-brainer for the Nets. Harris can run the point and allow Marcus Williams more time to mature. Diop gives an inside presence to help out Boone and Sean Williams. Add in RJ and VC and they Nets aren't looking too shabby for this year or the next few. I think they'll be able to scrap their way into the playoffs, but then do nothing. RJ and VC are still trade bait. I'd rather dump VC and stick with RJ. I think Jefferson is a more consistent player who doesn't disappear in games. VC can just take over a game, but I like the consistency of Jefferson better, plus he's made great strides this year in becoming a PTPer.
Stackhouse will be cut and I'm not sure what would be done with George and Ager. Still, I like the trade for the Nets.

Yup, that's the most likely option. He'll have to wait 30 days and then can resign with the Mavs. Much like Payton did with the Celtics a while back.

Just read on article saying they might not even get Stack back. The guy threw out teams like Cleveland, Detroit, San Antonio, and Phoenix as possible suitors for Stack.
